4 Monos (4 Monkeys) is a group of four friends that makes juice Garnacha, Cariñena and Morenillo in the Gredos mountains – high altitude and lost of sun makes these wines cool and fully ripened.
Husband and wife Javier García and Laura Robles work as winemakers, while David Velasco looks makes the money count, David Moreno lends his family’s vineyards.
7 Hectares of vineyards and a new burgundian approach from 2016, lets 4Monos produce about 35.000 bottles a year. They advocate for whole-bunch fermentation, minimal extraction and the use of big barrels and foudres to avoid oak flavours.
